Temporary Research Assistant Position - TortsLexisNexis are looking for a research assistant to work on the forthcoming edition of our most established Torts book.
The research assistant will be responsible for the updating and streamlining of statistics in one chapter of the book. This will involve gathering statistics from a variety of disparate sources and collating them to provide an up to date, clear and overall picture. A secondary task will be to check the weblinks in the chapter remain valid and update where necessary.
Applicants for this position must:
* have completed an undergraduate or graduate law degree
* demonstrate proven research skills, particularly in the area of tort law
* have high-quality writing skills that include the ability to present information in an accessible form for the student reader.
* possess word-processing skills and basic IT skills, eg use of email, internet, and electronic research tools
It would be advantageous for applicants to be able to demonstrate:
* research experience, or research assistance experience, which has resulted in publications, conference papers or reports
* familiarity with the primary source material relating to equity and trusts law
Position details
This is a temporary position, at the hourly rate $29.29/hour and available immediately. The position would be full time for 3 weeks initially with the potential for an extension of 1 week should the project require further work.
